Recognising Young Excellence with the Celebrate Success Awards

On 15th March 2017, the Celebrate Success Awards for young people took place at the London Palladium, with appearances from Prince Charles and celebrities like Thierry Henry.

For those who are unaware of this event, its purpose is to recognise achievements of youth in overcoming harmful barriers, such as drug addiction and homelessness.

Every person up for the award has a significant story to share on how they overcame battles facing them, from a disadvantaged Afghan immigrant on his way to becoming a mechanic, to a once sufferer of mental health issues who is now a lifeguard.

Prince Charles attended the event hosted by TV personalities Ant and Dec.

This award ceremony was created with the help of The Prince’s Trust, founded by Prince Charles, in order to help young people suffering from social issues, such as abuse, find stability in life by offering financial grants, training courses and mentoring.
