5 Things You Should Do Before Receiving Your Exam Results

So you’ve gone through it, the torturous, long hours of note taking, reading and memorizing. You’ve finished your coursework, you’ve finished your exams!

Now you’ve had the first month or so off enjoying your well deserved rest, and now it has reached the inevitable Month of August. Results day Month.

So of course I am here to help you. Here are 5 things you should do before receiving exam results.

1. Clear Your Mind

Do not look at chats on websites such as ‘the student room’ – it could give you an unnecessary panic.

2. Get Sleep:

Get a good amount of sleep even though it may be tempting to go out or stay on your phone late at night.

Teenagers need at least 8-hours of sleep & so clearly sleep is very important.

Plenty of rest will help keep your mind at ease, as well as reduce the stress that results day brings.

3. Eat Right:

Get a good breakfast!! I can’t stress this enough. Results day is going to be emotionally and physically draining, especially if you are planning to get that Uni/College place. So make sure you have all the energy you need.

4. Get Organised

Be Organised! Know the date of your results day, make sure your mobile phone is charged when you go to pick up your results; if you applied to Uni through UCAS then make sure you know your UCAS track account details & the contact details of your firm and insurance choice.

5. Stay Confident

Tissues, the day may be emotional, not for just you, but also for family members and friends so keep these handy!

Remember even if you do not get the results that you want, it is not the end of the world.

Exam results are important but they also do not determine your ability or your capability, keep motivated and most importantly, keep happy!
